Back in the 17th century, Jordan Bridge was amerced for failing to maintain the highway, for trespassing with beasts and behaving shamefully towards his brother (Adam) in respect to an inheritance.

200 years later there is the gravestone of a George Bridge 'of Chapel Hill' in the graveyard of Sion Baptist Church.

What I want to know is whether it is possible to trace continuity of occupation of the Bridges in Chapel Hill between the two families. I have began to explore this to some extent but oh, for more time…
